While enjoying the accommodations of Field Station Moab, I met 7 "pacers" staying there who took turns running with the main guy (or gal) racing in the prestigious Moab 240, a 240-mile 5-day round-the-clock foot race. These guys were from So. Carolina and sooo polite. I saw the main racer this morning after completing the race and he could barely walk...but so proud to have finished when so many dropped out.

Icing on the cake: "Schook" really wanted to take a copy of my book back to South Carolina with him. And thus, Maddie makes her way to South Carolina.
